Google Docs as your cloud based file store. Support for arbitrary file types

Google Docs now support arbitrary file type upload with quota of 250MB/file with total limit of 1GB for premier edition users of Google Apps. Google will be rolling this functionality out to standard edition shortly. We are very happy to announce that Socialwok users can now use Google Doc as their cloud based file storage service to store file types beyond the traditional file types for users with Google Apps premier edition domains.

We are very excited to announce the release of a brand new Socialwok for 2010! We have listened to your feedback; to simplify and make more intuitive the Socialwok user experience.

The new release includes:

• Multi-tabular interface - You can open and browse between multiple feeds at the same time without waiting 
• One click feed navigation menu - One click is all you need to show all the feeds in your network
• New update counters - You can see in one glance how many new updates there are in each feed

• Search results by type - Each search generates results in a new tab. You can search based on different types: people, post, feed, file, Google Doc

Socialwok at Google I/O Developer Sandbox (19-20 May 2010)

Great news! We will be attending and presenting at Google I/O 2010.

Socialwok has been chosen to be one of the showcase companies for AppEngine technology at the Google IO Developer Sandbox. As you know, Socialwok is very tightly integrated with Google Apps and we use a lot of Google technologies:

• Our application is deployed on Google AppEngine Java. (AppEngine Developer Profile)
• Our user interface is built using Google Web Toolkit. (Google GWT Youtube interview)
• We integrate with Google Apps and Google accounts using Google GData APIs 

This is really exciting news as we will be announcing our next big add-on service for the Google Apps ecosystem at Google IO. We will be releasing screenshots of the service as we get closer to IO. Follow this blog and our twitter channel (@socialwok) to keep updated.
